We had the Malaysia GP this weekend. I must admit I didn't watch the pole live, I was way too tired for that on Friday, but I did wake up to watch the race live. I sort of wanted Kimi to be on pole, but I was still extremely happy to have the 2 Ferraris in front.
Needless to say it was a much less eventful race than Australia. I think Kimi and Felipe showed a great pace compared to the rest of the field and I'm glad Kimi managed to win. I am utterly pissed that Felipe ruined the chance for a 1-2 with a silly mistake. It sucks because now they have a lot of ground to make up against McLaren in the constructors championship. At least Lewis in only 3 points ahead of Kimi in the drivers.
True, it would have probably been less had Lewis not been penalized during the pole, but to be honest it looked pretty dangerous. I mean Heidfeld could have crashed right into them because the differential of speed was pretty big and he couldn't move towards the left either. I don't think it was on purpose from either him or Heiki, but truth be told they should have been on the other side of the track, given that they were going in, and their speed was considerably slower. And he also had a pretty crappy pit stop during the race that would have probably cost him, even if he had been higher up in the grid.
All in all, it was a good race, no SC! And Kimi managed a great win. I'm happy because they showed the pace the car has, and scored some good points so the others wouldn't get to far away. Another good thing? Alonso has a crappy car and it's showing. Now he says he could go to Ferrari, but they have denied it, both Felipe and Kimi have contracts for next year.
