Sarah Palin has been using one of his songs at her campaign rallies.
Entitled 'Who Says You Can't Go Home', the song is one of Jovi's more recent hits (which means that it's liked less by Eighties soft-rock fans and more by middle-aged women who own lots of cuddly toys and consider Richard Hammond a 'dreamboat'). Jon and his bandmates have expressed their discontent thus:"We are surprised to hear that our song, "Who Says You Can't Go Home" was used by the McCain campaign at rallies yesterday and today. We wrote this song as a thank you to those who have supported us over the past twenty-five years. The song has since become a banner for our home state of New Jersey and the defacto theme song for our partnerships around the country to build homes and rebuild communities. Although we were not asked, we do not approve of their use of 'Home.'"
Bon Jovi aren't the only band unhappy with being appropriated by the Republicans, however. Other bands none-too-happy with the McCain campaign using their tunes include Heart, the Foo Fighters, Van Halen and Jackson Browne.

Sarah Palin upsets Bon Jovi
I'd be pissed too, if my music was being used for a campaign I don't support, lol
