I'm back, baby!

I've been back at work since monday and I had my first two classes yesterday... it's being a little odd.

It's hard getting up so early again but my schedule is really good this semester so I really can't complain. What I can complain about is the weather. It's been freaking freezing in Memphis the past two weeks and we even got snow a couple of days even if it wasn't enough to make things all pretty for photos. Thankfully, it looks like it's warming up all around, except for my office which is like a tiny cooler, lol.

My classes look pretty interesting this semester, so even if I'm gonna be buried in work, I should at least learn a lot about my actual career. I also tried to get more organized at the beginning of the semester, because I know myself enough to know how much I'll procrastinate... but hopefully I can do that without driving myself insane with stress.

Yesterday, my family got the package I sent them and they were all super happy with the present. The clothes for the kiddies were a little big, but I prefer it that way because otherwise they grow out of it really fast. Robbie was wearing his spiderman pj's last night and Isa was wearing her Dora ones. I can't wait to see photos of Robbie wearing his Queen shirt. Of course, who knows when that will happen because the computer at home is fucked and Andy can't even upload photos to Facebook. I haven't even been able to see photos from their trip to the beach, which sucks!

Also, I'm not sure I'm a fan of Mike's longer hair. I mean I like it like this:

But I did not like this look on the photo the LPU posted yesterday.


I guess I'll always be a fan of him with a mowhawk and he just doesn't look that good with any other haircut in my humble opinion.

I'm in a good mood today but just slightly annoyed because I probably have to spend like 500 on books this semester or at least around 400 if I manage to get them used and it just annoys me to no end that textbooks are so expensive. It almost makes me not want to buy any of them and just work my way thanks to the internet and friends with books. Sucks that I'm way too much of a good student for that.

Oh, I'm also super happy because my sister got a job yesterday and it looks like it's gonna be pretty good and I'm super excited for her. I think it was the right decision for her to move to Colombia and it seems like she and Juan are very happy. I'm also excited about her wedding because it's like the first actual wedding I'll attend and Juan's mom is probably gonna make a huge deal of it and it should be so much fun! I already have a dress in mind and I'm really hoping I can get it, because after that all I'll need is to start practicing so I can survive the night on high heels because I'm a total sneaker slut.

Winter Day

Allow me to drool over the picture above, lol. News are slow these days, so I take anything I can get, but I just love that pic. I think it's the combination of the piano and the black and white and well, Mike... lol. Oh yeah... also, cool to know about the process for the new record...

So today Memphis was covered in snow and I wish I had taken some photos but my camera ran out of battery, so I couldn't. This a pic my dad took of the house:


I'm very proud of the fact that I walked all over school and even though I came really close, I didn't slip and fall, lol. I did, however, hit myself on the leg with the door of my car, you can't have it all, right? =P

I'm so tired today. My brother and his friend kept me up late and I only managed to sleep when I changed bedrooms and went to sleep in the spare one. I hope Isa doesn't come knocking on my door too early tomorrow...

Kid in a candy store!

Okay, let my start off by saying that that getty logo is freaking evil! That was a beautiful picture and they had to go and ruin it with a watermark! That was last night at the opening of Glorious Excess (Born).
Anyway... a good friend of mine, (she's a LP fan as much as me...) told me a couple of weeks ago that she'd be going to LA to visit her cousin and that she's be attending Mike's show last night. I was stoked for her, (and a little jealous...) and it got even better when she told me she'd get me even a program from the show.
Well turns out she got me a book -and- she got him to sign it for me! How awesome is that?! My jaw dropped when I saw the post on my wall today. The terrible mood I've been in for the past few days just escaped my mind in a matter of seconds. As you can imagine, in feeling all sorts of love for her right now. I can't wait until she gets home and tells me all about it and I can't wait for -me- to get home and get my super awesome book!
