So, Scrubs debuted its 8 season this tuesday on ABC. I'm posting about it today because I watched the two episodes again last night. And I gotta say, I loved it. The first episode was funny even if the new interns are a bit annoying at times, but we got back to good jokes and funny J.D. fantasies are not so over the top.
The second one was more emotional, but it was still amazing and by the time they played "I Will Follow You Into the Dark" by Death Cab for Cutie, I was done for. I love that song and it went great with both the topic and the mood of the episode, and it was just perfect right there.
I know it's not the best quality, but it's hard to find a video of this song that isn't someone who things they can sing playing it for their webcam.
Anyway, there were some funny jokes that actually made me laugh which sometimes didn't happen in the 7th season. Although, I must say, Courtney Cox didn't shine as much as I thought she would. After being on a comedy show for so many years I thought she's fit right in, but somehow I didn't like her too much. On the other hand, Glynn Turman who played Geroge, was pretty much amazing an stole the scenes from J.D. and Turk a lot of the times.
I also loved the part where they rolled the credits and in the first episode they had a lot of meta-jokes about the show and in the second one they showed a blooper with Zach and Donald, which was pretty funny. I think this show is gonna do much better on this network, because we're actually seeing some promos for the show and they have a lot more features like this:
