In health news...

Ugh... I so woke up on the left side of the bed today. I had some medical tests done yesterday and I had to have some blood drawn twice and now I have a bruise in my arm. I also have this really annoying pain on my right foot that is driving me insane.

My aunt took me to get them done, and one of the ones I had to take, they take your blood without having eaten anything for 12 hours then they send you to eat then wait 2 hours and then they take your blood again. We spent the entire two hours walking around and I'm such a couch potato, I'm just not active at all and it took a toll on me. We also walked after, trying to find Isa's required textbook for her school, which we didn't. I was a walking corpse when I got home, but I always have so much fun when I hang out with my aunt, because she's funny as hell and she's also super smart and has a great look on things. She's very positive but at the same time very opinionated so it's always interesting to see what she has to say. She's also always helpful and she paid for the (extremelly expensive) tests.

Anyway, I got the tests done, and the results should be ready on Monday, but I can't pick them up, so my sister will do it for me when she comes back from Bogota, and she'll get them to the doctor. The doctor had me do these tests because she was afraid there's a problem with my insulin and whatnot, but hopefully that won't be the case. I didn't think I'd even have time to get them done before I went back to Memphis, but I did thanks to my aunt, (and not thanks to my mom's attitude when I told her I might not get a chance because I didn't have the money).

My skin is a lot better already. While I'd been here there had been some pretty hard days when I woke up and my cheeks would be very red and actually a little swollen and painful. Turns out the heat is one of the things that makes what I have worse. It's called rosacea. So she put me in a treatment with antibiotics (which I always forget to take) a special soap and one cream for the morning and another for the evening before I go to bed.
My cheeks are still a little red sometimes but the actual skin feels very soft, and the redness goes down if I stay away from the heat (even from something cooking in the stove) or physical activity. Alcohol and spicy food also make it worse, so I was very thankful that I'm not a fan of either, lol.
